Who we are:

  • Youth from all over the state interested in all breeds and disciplines of horses.

Our Motto:

  • “We take horsin' around seriously!”

Some of our past activities:

  • Booths at horse events
  • Various guest speakers
  • Tours of local horse facilities (Keeneland, KY Horse Park, KY Horseshoeing School, Equine Services, etc.)
  • Passing out ribbons/awards at horse shows
  • Pumpkin carving contest
  • Fundraiser for Kentucky Equine Humane Center
  • Making/donating mop ponies to local childrens' homes for Christmas gifts
  • Year-end awards banquet

When is the next meeting?

The next meeting of the KEEP Youth Council will be held on May 8th, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 PM (EST). The meeting will be held at the Boyle County Extension Office in Danville, KY. We will be discussing ideas and such for the rest of the year, as well as organizing some more Pony Patches Resource Manuals. If you're not already a Youth Council member, come check us out! We will also be touring Hillcroft Farm on June 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM (EST). Hillcroft Farm is a beautiful farm located in Paris, KY that features world-class Saddlebreds, driving horses, and polo horses. Please contact Jessi for more details and to RSVP.
